The small, pocket-sized external print server supports the latest network operating systems, including Novell's Netware 5, almost all brands of UNIX®, Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. Includes OkiNET Release 7 software, a Windows 2000 compliant administration package. Data transfer rates up to 470 KB/sec - 2 times faster than competitive print servers (when used with OKI ECP printers). Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) support allows the distribution and automatic remote printing of documents to compatible systems anywhere in the world, via the Internet. Custom views feature in software allows network administrators to organize print server objects according to geographical WAN/LAN boundaries or by sub-nets. Remote E-mail alerts send instant error/status messages to assigned users, via the internet, anywhere in the world. Tracks recent print jobs in a job history file, for simplified management.
